Drawing my inspiration from Perel’s famous track “Jesus was an Alien” I wanted to continue exploring the themes around the mystery of life, a thematic dear to me that I have been working on for years now. Interestingly, the original inspiration for this show was somewhat put aside as I started to change the way I am making music on stage.

The concept of “Jesus Was an Alien” was to insert experimental improvisation sections between three DJ set mix. In addition, I played some vocals, flute and theremin solos mixed with some experimental XDJ technic and with the modular synth texture played by Pascal Minaux.

Coming back from that live experience, I wanted to explore further the abilities that two XDJ could bring to my live experimental set. I am currently building a MIDI hub that will synchronise modular synthesizers with the two XDJ players.

Thus, it is possible to compose beats and melodies using the modular synths while mixing some samples sharing the same tempo et la même horloge. The result is a kind of experimental hypnotic techno with live acoustical instrument and vocals.
